We support The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)

NIHR statement on their website:

We are the National Institute for Health Research. We fund health and care research and translate discoveries into practical products, treatments, devices and procedures, involving patients and the public in all our work.

We ensure the NHS is able to support the research of other funders to encourage broader investment in, and economic growth from, health research. We work with charities and the life sciences industry to help patients gain earlier access to breakthrough treatments and we train and develop researchers to keep the nation at the forefront of international research.

We may from time to time invite you to participate in studies but will always ask you for consent.

Breath Magic study

What does your breath say about you?  Imperial College, in collaboration with the National Institute of Health Research, are studying breath.  We have promising results showing that breath may be able to predict the presence of stomach or bowel cancer.  But we need your help to develop this technology!  The Breath MAGIC study (Models for Assessment for Gastrointestinal Cancers) looks to sample large cohorts of patients aged 18 years or over, with recent stomach or bowel related symptoms.  This way we can ascertain a population profile of breath components to help us develop this tool.  If you would like to donate a breath sample please let us know by completing this contact form on our website
